Shadreck Nyahwa scored a brace as Dynamos turned on the heat, beating Yadah 4-0 in the Chibuku Super Cup match at the National Sports Stadium. This was a welcome result for the team, following a week of backlash from the fans over a lifeless show against Herentals.
Debutant Nyahwa put Dembare in the lead 9 minutes into the game. Nyahwa was not part of the previous squad because of pending registration issues over his move from Bulawayo Chiefs. Another player who missed the first match for the same reason is Godknows Murwira, who scored the third goal, a long distance scorcher. Albert Eonde had scored the second goal in the 22nd minute. Nyahwa scored his second goal ,spectacularly from close to the halfway line, beating Yadah goalkeeper Tanyaradzwa Huni who was caught off guard.
Head coach Tonderai Ndiraya made six changes to the team that played Herentals last Sunday. Nyahwa, Murwira, 18 years old Antonio Bill, Barnabus Mushunje, Emmanuel Jalai and Albert Eonde made the starting eleven after missing the first match due to different reason. Nyahwa, Murwira, Bill were ineligible to play due to registration issues, Jalai missed the match due to injury while Mushunje and Eonde were on the bench.
