Hillary Makaya paid me thousands to sing about her: Enzo Ishall

Dancehall- cum hip-hop artiste Enzo Ishall said he was paid to sing about model Hillary Makhaya, in a song  (Hillary Makaya) which has sparked a beef between him and Holy Ten.

Enzo Ishall who now calls himself, King Ragnar the King of Hip-hop made the revelations in an interview with Chamvary on Power FM.

Ragnar Lothbrok was a 9th-century Danish Viking king and warrior known for his exploits, for his death in a snake pit at the hands of Aella of Northumbria, and for being the father of Halfdan, Ivar the Boneless, and Hubba, who led an invasion of East Anglia in 865.

“People don’t understand that the song Hillary Makaya was all planned. The plan was to make sure that her (Hillary Makaya) brand could be known across Zimbabwe and in all locations. With my numbers I came in and did a song, Holy Ten dissed me for singing about a woman (Hillary Makaya) not knowing that I was paid thousands of dollars for that and her social media numbers moved from 38 000 to 50 000 meaning to say the job was done.

What Holy Ten is against is not me singing about a woman but the fact that I came from dancehall and trended in his own territory,” he said.

The two artists are beefing against each other since the release of Hillary Makaya. Following the release of the song, Enzo Ishall went on to call himself the king of Hip-hop, triggering a response from Holy Ten.

Hillary, who is Robert Jnr Mugabe’s ex-girlfriend, comes from a modeling family as her aunt Connie Makaya was the first black beauty pageant queen in Zimbabwe and her cousin Catherine Makaya the Olympian athlete was also Miss Zimbabwe in 2014. She has won more than 5 beauty pageants in Zimbabwe from Miss Teen to Miss InterContinental.
