Second Group Of UK Deportees Arrive

The second group of Zimbabwean deportees from the United Kingdom consisting of seven people arrived in the country on Thursday morning. The group of seven touched down at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport at 10 am aboard a Boeing 767. This brings to 21 Zimbabwean citizens who have been deported by the British government since July after 14 deportees from the UK arrived in the country last month. War Veterans Arrested At Mthuli Ncube’s Offices

Nine (9) veterans of Zimbabwe’s liberation war were arrested on Wednesday and charged with inciting public violence after they allegedly besieged Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube’s office demanding better pensions. The war veterans, who are members of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA), were arrested at the New Government Complex in Harare’s central business district. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is expected to release a revised school calendar soon after Cabinet on Wednesday announced the date for the resumption of classes. Motorist In Court After Crashing Into Army Commander’s Vehicle

A National Social Security Authority (NSSA) employee has appeared in court after his car crashed into a vehicle belonging to Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander General Philip Valerio Sibanda. Desmond Sinoia (51), on Wednesday, admitted to reckless driving and ramming into General Sibanda’s vehicle at an intersection in Harare.
